THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO
V. The King's Victory
And behold, there was a great 1earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended out of heaven and came and rolled away the stone and sat upon it.
And for fear of him the guards shook and became like dead men.
And the angel answered and said to the women, Do not be afraid, for I know that you are seeking Jesus, the crucified.
And they went away quickly from the tomb with 1fear and great joy and ran to report this to His disciples.
And as they were going, behold, some from the aguard came into the city and reported to the chief priests all that had happened.
And after the chief priests had gathered with the elders and had taken counsel, they gave a large sum of money to the soldiers,
And they took the money and did as they were instructed. And this account has been widely 1spread among the Jews until this very day.
And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, All 1authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
